A Bit of Background
- What did you do before joining Cinapsis? I was the Head of Support for the Acute division in EMIS Health and prior to that I have spend most of my career in Project and Change Management
- What drew you to health tech/NHS/transformation? I have always loved working with people to improving processes and to drive change. I had a great time in Telecoms in the early part of my career and wanted to try a different sector out of curiosity and to challenge myself. Healthcare really appealed to me as it gave the opportunity to work in a field that is highly relatable to our everyday lives. Over a decade late, I still love it.
- What excites you most about your role here? I love the pace of change here and working with my colleagues. Our product is amazing and we are developing exciting features all of the time. The nicest part though is hearing feedback from customers about how we are helping and in turn many of them feeling inspired to share ideas about what else we can do to improve things. Honestly, I have never worked anywhere where the feedback is so positive – it really does perk the team up to know we are helping our users and making a difference to the patient journey!
Role at Cinapsis
- What’s your day-to-day like? First order of the day is to grab a brew. I then check though emails and look at my day ahead. My day to day focus can be very varied. It could be supporting commercial with tenders, supporting my or the wider team with development, supporting clients with an active roll out, or meeting customers to discuss their local challenges and throwing some ideas around together to come up with a solution. I love to work with our product team as well provide input into future innovations – they are a brilliant bunch!
- When might someone get in touch with you? My door is always open to discuss challenges with existing users and seeing how we can help. Similarly, if you have heard about us from another region and are curious about Cinapsis, don’t be shy. All of the team love to help.
- What’s the most rewarding part of your role? No questions there – It’s hearing feedback from strategic, clinical and administrative users. It really is brilliant to know that the Cinapsis team are delivering solutions that make a difference. The NHS is a highly stressed environment, so you know when people take the time to comment, it really is meaningful.
