Tell us a little bit about your professional background before joining Cinapsis
Before joining Cinapsis, I held several different roles in healthcare. For three and five years respectively, I managed two separate GP practices. I’ve also spent over 10 years working for Cegedim Vision, an IT system supplier to General Practice. While there, I was able to transform IT systems in more than 500 GP Practices.
I have also led on population health and shared care record solutions within a number of ICBs and created a nationwide solution targeting the improvement in patient data to ensure improved patient care and health outcomes for over 1 million patients across the UK.
How long have you been at Cinapsis and what skills do you bring to the team?
I’ve been a part of the Cinapsis team for 5 years. The most important skill I bring to the table is my ability to understand our NHS partners challenges, and, when appropriate, advise them on ways to help manage or improve them. This really revolves around having the experience and insight into the problem, building trust and sharing how we have helped other organisations with similar problems, previously. It’s extremely important to me to take time to fully understand the problems, before declaring that we can help relieve or resolve their challenges – although it’s rare when we can’t help!
Maintaining this level of authenticity helps me to create strong and supportive relationships with our partners. I’m also very lucky to rely on driven and skilled team members to deliver the system required to realise the aims and objectives that customers have at the start of their transformation journey.
What were your first impressions when joining the company?
I was honestly blown away by the product. It answered an obvious need - one I had experienced myself when working in primary care - and it was the first time I’d seen such a solution.
The company culture also really appealed to me. At Cinapsis, we have a dedicated team ethic and our ability to respond to customers is second to none. Throughout 20+ years of working in and with the NHS, I’ve never seen anything like it.
What’s the best thing about working at Cinapsis?
It’s so rewarding to maintain an ongoing relationship with our partners and service users, listening to their feedback and using this to drive forward further improvements and support new customers. It’s also great to see our product making a positive impact on the lives of clinicians and their patients.
What does a typical day in your role look like?
I continually meet existing customers, prospects and partners, understanding their requirements and listening as these evolve over time and coming up with new ideas to achieve further enhancements in our offering.
What are your goals and ambitions for the coming months/years?
I thrive on pushing myself to undertake new challenges. In the coming months, my goal is to demonstrate to as many NHS organisations as possible the transformation possible with digital dialogue and support. I want to work with even more organisations to help them implement this, and support clinicians with intuitive solutions.
Any fun or interesting facts we should know about you?
In my free time you can also usually find me on the golf course, in the gym, running, or out in the countryside walking with my boxer. I also manage an under 13s football team. In short anything to keep active!
