Meet the speakers
Dr Ed Seward
Dr Ed Seward is a consultant gastroenterologist and lead for endoscopy at the University College London Hospitals NHS FT. He has piloted a pathway to shorten diagnostic waits in colorectal cancer, which has now been adopted nationally through Cancer Research UK’s ACE programme.
Dr Malcolm Gerald
Dr Malcolm Gerald is the Clinical Lead for the Cinapsis Project at One Gloucestershire ICS. A GP in Gloucestershire since 1985, he has been a CCG member since its inception, with an active involvement in demand management projects.
Richard Parker has held several NHS executive positions nationally. Now, as well as being a Strategic Advisor to Xyla Elective Care, Richard works with Primary Care Networks to support the design and implementation of new care models.
This session is brought to you by:
Cinapsis SmartReferrals is a leading NHS clinical communication and referral management platform that gives community and primary care clinicians, paramedics, pharmacists and opticians immediate access to specialist advice to deliver smarter triage, faster decision-making and fewer unnecessary referrals.
Xyla Elective Care specialises in elective care delivery for the NHS and is a national framework approved for insourcing and outsourcing. Their services support the NHS in meeting elective care targets by providing both referral management and clinical capacity solutions across primary and secondary care.
We are collaborating to deliver several new care delivery models that are focused on integrating primary and secondary care where local clinicians are unavailable or there is limited or no local coverage in a specialty.
