Meet the Cinapsis Team: Michael Vought, Product Manager

Mick brings a wealth of expertise and experience to his role as Product Manager, helping ensure that our platform is always evolving to best support clinicians and their patients.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your professional background:
I have a background in messaging and interoperability which has seen me working within the NHS to deliver this for over 20 years. My long-standing career has provided me with an extensive array of expertise and knowledge which I’m excited to be bringing to my new role as Product Manager at Cinapsis.


When (and why) did you join Cinapsis?
I became a member of the Cinapsis team in August 2022, after hearing about the fantastic product they offer, and its ability to positively impact clinicians and patients alike. It was the opportunity to use my expertise to help drive forward such an exciting innovation - one with the potential to improve so many patients’ lives - which motivated me to join the team. I just knew I had to be a part of it!

What specific skills and experience do you bring to the role?
Given that I’ve worked in the industry for over two decades, I have a wide understanding of the nuanced needs and challenges facing healthcare services, and how these can be addressed. I pride myself on my ability to always think outside the box and come up with truly unique solutions.

 

What are your responsibilities?
As the Product Manager at Cinapsis, I work closely with our end-users to understand their unique needs and pain points and ensure these are reflected in the ongoing development of the Cinapsis platform. Whether implementing new features or adapting existing ones to suit individual users’ needs, I’m constantly seeking out new ways we can adapt and evolve our platform to optimise outcomes for clinicians and patients alike.

What does a typical day look like in your role?
My day centres around a number of conversations with the Cinapsis team, our platform users and key NHS stakeholders. As a team we’re constantly working on new ways to optimise the user experience, so we spend a lot of time looking at how we can adapt and build new features to meet our end-users’ evolving needs. This can include analysing customer feedback, speaking to clinicians who are currently using the platform, and collaborating on the design of new features and platform improvements.

 

What’s the best thing about being in the Cinapsis team?
For me, there are two main things that make Cinapsis a great place to work. First of all, it’s the level of passion and commitment demonstrated by every single team member. It’s so stimulating to be surrounded by a pragmatic team of like-minded individuals, united in a mission to deliver genuine improvements for clinicians and their patients. Secondly, the people at Cinapsis are all so friendly and immediately made me feel at home when I joined.

 

What are your aims and ambitions for the remainder of 2022?
I’m really excited to start working on building out a brand new product function and develop new processes which promise to deliver some fantastic benefits for those using the platform. It’s so satisfying to oversee the roll-out of new features and witness the support they can provide our end-users.

 

What does the next year hold for Cinapsis? What are you excited about?
There are so many fantastic things in the pipeline and I can’t wait to see these all come to fruition! Keep your eyes peeled for some innovative new platform features, exciting partnerships and collaborations.
