The second phase of the NHSX Digital Health Partnership Award is now underway, and it is open to bids from the 1st of November to the 10th of December 2021.

This funding has been made available to help NHS organisations adopt and scale digital solutions - such as Cinapsis - that will support patients to receive care and manage their health from their homes.

The award supports technologies across the spectrum of development, from novel deployment through to scaling proven technology.

So, if your organisation has previously considered investing in digital tools to conduct home-based assessments, improve remote patient monitoring, streamline outpatient management, or for any other initiative that could improve at-home care via digitisation, now’s the time to secure the funding.

The best news is that the application process is much more straightforward and less time consuming than you might think! Here’s everything you need to know before submitting your application:

• Maximum bid amount: £500,000
• Bids must be submitted by an NHS organisation in England, identifying the technology, partnership stakeholders and opportunity the bid seeks to support
• Funding will be transferred to a nominated Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)
• Technology must adhere to the Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC) and deliver evidence to validate the success and shared learning opportunities for future scaling opportunities
• Bids will need to demonstrate how they will use a combination of partners across three key areas critical to scaling digital health technology

How to choose a proven technology

A good place to start is looking for solutions that have passed their Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC) evaluation for health and social care. The DTAC is the new mandatory national baseline criteria for all digital health technologies entering into the NHS and social care. By selecting a tool or system that has passed the DTAC, organisations can rest assured that it meets the very high standards put into place by NHSx.
